Saw this post on another forum and copied it because dont recall seeing anything like that asked here.

How many shot opportunitiies have you had per year or in your life at a 120" buck and

How many of you have seen a legit 140inch buck or better while hunting (not trail cams).

Me personally, niether to both. Maybe saw a couple 120 - 125 in bucks in PA years ago bow hunting but they were always a couple hundred yards away with no shot opportunity.

I have had an average of .5 opportunities at a 125 in buck per year during bow, according to my log for last 4 years, i have capitalized 2x. I have seen 1 140 in or better deer at least 1x a year for 6-7 years now, usually during bow way out of range. i have seen 1 during gun and it now resides on my wall. This is all on private land managed for deer/game in wny.

I dont keep a log of how big deer are that I see while hunting or that I took a shot at or anything like that. I will say though, I have put shots on a couple of deer that were over 120, and have seen a bunch of them over the years. The last 5 years, Ive seen at least 1 140+ a year while hunting, with last year being the most in one season at 4.

Last year I passed a 120" 8 at 10 yards. Had a 130" 12 I could not get the right angle on 2 days in a row and be was 18 yards the first day and 15 the next. Also had a very close 140" 10 point at 30 yards, no shot. All in the same week of last year alone. I also missed a 130" 8 at 80 yards with my .270 (don't ask lol) I did see another monster buck last year in December at 100 yards, no clue how big but he looked huge
