trail cameras on wma

hey guys. is it legal for us to setup trail cameras in state land / wma's?

I have never read anything that spoke about the topic, or heard anything about it for that matter.

Give the DEC a call or e-mail.

I would be worried about it getting stolen tho if it was out there for a extended period of time.

i dont think its illegal but i wouldnt recommend it unless you want it stolen sad but true

I wonder..... It seems to me that I have read something that prohibits leaving personal property behind on state land. That may require a bit more research or perhaps an e-mail to a DEC regional headquarters.

had an officer come in during bow class and said it was fine but you might get it stolen...

thanks for the replies. I did some digging and i found some comments regarding leaving personal property on the DEC website, but nothing definitive.

I definitely would be worried about it getting stolen. lock box and cable definitely.
