bears kreeping up on CNY

Heard of a sighting in clinton, and my friend has a trail camera picture of one at his camp off rte 12 between waterville and sherburne.

Anyone else seeing bears pop up in new areas not accustomed to bear?

We had one in northern Cayuga county a couple years ago. Got hit by a car between Red Creek and Martville on Rt104.

There expanding. Last year there were several reports from Rochester and Buffalo suburbs.

Yup............Waterville is my hometown and neighbors say bears showing up on their trail cams,

I live in Westmoreland and we had one killed this summer a mile from my house on the threwway. Another was seen a week later in Oriskany. Two or three years ago there was a sow with cubs in Rome not too far from my aunt's house. If this keeps up we may have a season around here before I kick the bucket!
