Pygmy
I have a "New Ithaca Gun"..... It is a 12 gauge made in 1899...It has twin twist steel 30" full choke barrels and exposed hammers. My dad bought it used in the late 1930s... It is in excellent condition for it's age. So what's your point ??

ants
Ithaca is an awesome gun....no debate. Had a Deer Slayer years ago but sold it. I have an "ultra featherweight" bird gun ( From when they went back into business in the 90's)and it's as good or better than anything they've ever made. Kot2B
I have two Ithaca's 40 anniversary deer slayer for deer and a bird barrel deer slayer for small game, got them both for Xmas for Christmas when I was 16. My most prized possession, I remember going to the gun shop with my father for the first time and picking them out.
Lawdwaz
I have a couple, my Ithaca Model 87 DS II (jeez I think that is what it is called. only owned it since '88!) that I killed a couple truck loads of deer with and a Model 37 12ga that is probaly from the mid 60's I'd guess. I haven't killed with the DS II in quite a few years as the ML has replaced it and hopefully the CF rifle will replace the ML next year. Come on lawmakers..................... jusputtn
I have one. Excellent firearm. It shoots Foster slugs so well, I've never bothered with rifled slug barrels.
