I "caught" 3 of them on camera here in Tompkins county this summer too. Looks like they are making a comeback in southern NY.

wmig2, I would say that it is a fishercat, I see you live in Broome county . I also live in Broome Co. and have seen a half doz fishers in the last ten years.
