Bow Hunting only areas ?

I'm just curious .... I dont bow hunt but am curious as far as Bow Hunting only areas , when bow closes and gun opens does that mean that a bow only area has no deer/bear hunting going on ?

no when gun opens any county that is bow only remains in the same rules.. use your wither sex and antlered.. at least thats what i was told by a few guys on here

You can't use your either sex bow muzzel loader tags during the reg season. You just have to use reg tags and doe permits and bow only. Can't use crossbows in bow only zone.

That is how I read the regs.

There are bow only areas outside of 3S and 1C. In these 2 WMU, you can use your regular season buck tag as either sex for the duration of the entire seasons.

In areas where specific locations within a WMU is bowhunting only like some parts of Sterling Forest, you'll need to use a DMP to harvest a doe. When regular gun starts, this area remains bow only.

You can use it for either sex in 3s, 1c, 4j, 8c and late season bow muzzle loader and and next season Norther zone September 27-30 if you bow hunt. See page 26 this Yeats booklet.

if it's a bow only WMU then you use your tags as you would during the seasons they're for, only you're limited to using a bow every season (early, regular, late).

some state land/parks have sections that are bow only that you simply aren't allowed to hunt during the regular season period, regardless if you're using a bow or not. you'd have to consult their land stewards to find out exactly.

Pretty simple and stated in the hunting guide. REGULAR season in bow hunting WMU's run pretty much from Oct 1st till end of December. It's also stated that you can use your regular season buck tag as either sex in these areas.
