I got up early Thanksgiaving Day and went to one of my satnds behind the house. At 7:30 I heard a stick snap and saw a young hunter ( 20's) walking through my neighbors property he waived to me on the way by. He then walked about 100 yards crossed posted property( mine) and got in one of my other stands. I thought I would get down around 8:00 and just say something to him on my way out. He sat there for 15 min. got down and lit up a cig. and walked back to my neighbors property. I knew someone had used the stand over the years. Last year I found a hot seat in the tree. Is it normal for people just to get in other's stands? I was always taught to stay out of other peoples stands.

It has always been my belief that you don't hunt a property that you don't have permission to be on . I let the folks that give me permission to hunt a heads up when I hunt their property so they know who is out there .

For me it's all about respect or better stated the level of disrespect people have towards others in general.

By him strolling throgh giving a waive ,, seems like he thinks he has permisson from somebody to go on your property..Maybe you should have a talk with you neighbor and set some boundries or rules..

trespassing is one thing but to get in someone stand is such disrespect!maybe you should have talked to him while he was on your property

it sounds to me like he doesnt know its your land.. if i was trespassing someones land the last thing i would do would be walk passed them and wave.. id approach him nicely and see whats up
