New scope and base/rings

Looking to replace 2 scopes this off-season. 1 for the TC Triumph and 1 for the .17 - don't want to break the bank but looking for some ideas for both. Presently have old Weaver mounts for both but looking to update - thanks

Nikon with the BDC reticle... Thing is amazing for long distance shooting... Took a 3 X 9 to Africa and dropped an awesome Gemsbok at 309 yards... perfect shot... it was all the scope trust me...

Yeah... I really like the Nikon stuff. Their entry level scope is the Pro Staff line. A 3-9x40 will run you around $150 but if you wait till after x-mas I bet you can find one even cheaper. They are exellent quality scopes. I have 3 Nikons and love them. I made my longest shot ever with a 3-9 on opening day. Dead nuts.

Vortex scopes. Even their lowest end model (Crossfire/Crossfire 2) has very impressive glass. Lifetime warranty, US based company, very good quality, and a price that cant be beat for the features. Check out a guy on Archerytalk.com that goes by the handle boarman, his company is Southern Style Archery, his prices are rarely beat, and when they are its when Cameraland has a blowout sale.

I like the Weaver Superslam rings, and the Leupold twist ins are very nice as well.
