Actually I believe they did...just as a show...for he never went to court...mind you premeditated murder...he executed the plot I told the sheriff to a T...

I never saw him again after a prison visit where he told me ...in detail how after blowing the guys shoulder off...he found him trying to crawl out the kitchen door ....listening to him beg for his life as he reloaded the shot gun...his wife stepped out from the bar area...he looked at his victim and said this is her fault and empty the gun from 10ft away...

then told me he'd do it again and the only thing that he felt bad for was the guy had young kids...

They plea bargained him and he served a lousy 7yrs...He went back to that woman...just died this Nov 20th...and by the Grace of God only...never killed another person

So say what you want..."stability" should at least get a passing glance

Now look, this is what I am talking about here. Sits pointed out that there have been discusions on mental health and how it would relate to a back ground check and you spun off into Government take over of our rights. Hence the sky is falling.

Yes his actions could keep us from getting guns in a FFL check ...unfortunately...my name is still connected to his and his actions if viewed by the wrong person ...remember what I said previously in post #16

Yes SITs not a pleasant time but as with so many things it makes you who you are,,,I see it as an event that..... yes I was dragged into...but didn't "Happen to me".... Not every event in ones life is something that actually "happens" to a person......ya know...ie a illness in the family verse you having an illness....one you witness as an active bye stander...the other you literally go through

Look, I have no idea what your problem is, but coincidentally your little episode began right after I had just gotten off the thread that was asking why people can't seem to keep things civil on this site anymore. The first thing I read when I got back to this thread was somebody not really commenting on the topic at all, but simply laying down a little one-liner insult, clearly for no other purpose than blowing up the thread and pissing someone off. How appropriate! I considered copying your little outbreak as a series of quotes posted over there to illustrate how one person typically can take a pretty good discussion and turn it into a pissing contest if they have a mind to do so. It was great the way you demonstrated that so perfectly. What I don't understand is what a person like you gets out of that kind of thing. I guess that's what they mean by "it takes all kinds".

But anyway, for anyone that wonders why threads so often spiral downward, they might want to re-read any or all parts of your participation on this thread and they will see exactly the reason and exactly how it is done.

So anyway, you can chalk up another one. I hope it made your day complete.

The fact of the matter is it was a discussion about mental health and background checks and you turned it into big brother violating your rights. Meanwhile grow tried to tie it into her personal life even though it didn't and couldn't have. All this and it was just a discussion of what COULD happen but hasnt yet seeing how there are no new laws on it yet. Be careful outdoors today I heard the sky is falling.

"Stability" is not a mental illness or tracked in any way shape or form.

Now I tried to point out to you several times...but you were focused on your next nasty comment I guess...

He was found mentally incompetent.....How do you think a premeditated murder...carried out to the letter in planning...a plan given to the sheriffs 2wks prior...The same sheriff that put an order of protection out against him for stalking a School bus driver...... would land him a plea...no trial and a mere 7 yrs sentence?..

im hearing alot of lawmakers wanting to put more stringent regs on FFL checks regarding a persons mental health(which they do already), but now they are talking about looking at an applicants family members mental history and to see if you have things like a recent divorce on record. does any of this worry any of you?

So once again yes it does worry me...it worries me that with all medical records available in one little push of a button that past medications prescribe could be held against a person...

ie... A person has chronic back pain...their Dr.listens to the person but won't prescribe expensive tests...gee lets not tick off the HMO's and because the pain meds aren't helping prescribes pills for depression instead...Now that person has those anti depressants on their record for ever

Yes this type of stuff happens all the time...I use to suffer sever migraines ...so one Dr. put me on digitalis....I do not have nor did I at 23yrs old have a heart problem...but someone that's not a medical Dr. "vetting" me for what ever reason..could possible say hey look digitalis...indication of heart issues

So more stringent regs does scary me for who's going to do them and what mind set will they have...Will they go by family histories...which are in your files ppl...Heredity...Depression...Alzheimer...schizophrenia.....Remember all those questions you fill out at the Dr's office? have you or anyone in your family suffered from??????
