Truckers daddy, Ive never been much of a trout fishermen. Gone a bunch, never caught one.

 

Opening Day of Trout Fishing is a blast!

 

It is a hoot to see the people and the how into it they are.  Nice fish and good folks!  The town of Naples comes alive on April 1st.  I've been going on & off for almost 40 years and you could count the fish I've caught on one hand............(just don't tell Pygmy!)

 

It's a fun day, weather permitting of course and a HUGE Cabin Fever reliever!  Kind of gives a solid countdown to May 1st and I can guarantee you'll hear some gobbling  while cruising around.

 

Unfortunately I can't make it this year with Easter tomorrow and my wife & daughter heading south first thing Tuesday but I'll be thinking about it and looking forward to all the stories.

Thanks guys, had a great evening yesterday, and have one tree down so far today. One more to go, then its on to attacking the brush pile.

Larry, only trout I ever had on my line was in Naples on opening day when I was 10 or 11. We were fishing right behind some resteraunt, and I had a strike. The fish was on and I started reeling, my dad was more excited than I was. The fish jumped and it was a big one, my dad let out a "holy sh*t!", which got me over excited and I started reeling harder and the line snapped. Man was I bummed. Never had a nibble since then.
