Five Seasons
very hard to watch. i still think its better for his career then tearing some tendons or ligaments. I do hope they don't find bone cancer or something. It really shouldn't have broke like that.
Elmo
very hard to watch. i still think its better for his career then tearing some tendons or ligaments. I do hope they don't find bone cancer or something. It really shouldn't have broke like that. Bone tends to mend better than ligament and tendon damage. I've seen several similar breaks of equal severity in other sports as well. Also from lateral movement. The human body never designed itself to move side to side with such great force. We were more design to go north and south (main north) and not east and west.
virgil
Compound fractures are far more serious than any soft tissue injury like ligament, meniscus, or tendon. With the bone protruding through the skin, the patient is at high risk for infection as well as nerve and blood vessel damage compared to a typical broken bone or soft tissue injury. Assuming there was no pathological cause for the fracture, he's still facing a very difficult recovery.
ants
Just heard that he came out of surgery O.K. but is looking at a full year for recovery. But I guess thats if all goes well. I think he's only a sophomore which would give him a little more time. I think the court was actually elevated from the sidelines which might explain how he came down on it funny. Best of wishes to him.
Lawdwaz
I can't watch (replay) this type of thing anymore. Poor guy, I hope he heals up 110%.
