Patterned My Gun...

Patterned my mossberg 930 12 ga yesterday.... using Kent Turkey loads 2 oz of no 4 shot (donated by Dan aka Pygmy)... at 15 yrds... approx 50+ pellets on the "zone"

Looks like he shot a few inches low. I'd try for a farther distance (40 yards) to see how it actually patterns.

yeah i did shoot a little low..... plus it was TERRIBLE windy...

pull your choke out and make sure you have the rite one in there, at 15 yards you should have a golf ball size  hole

I have the XX-Full.......................................................................................................... i THINK i did.... i had just used it on a varmit the day before w a Modified choke in it and NOW it has the XX-Full in in but i might want to shoot again to make sure it was in when i patterned it....

yeah at 30 or 40yrds that's gonna be a pretty wide spread.

I would also suggest a switch to #6 shot.

How far is the latest shot. I agree that I prefer 5 or 6 shot. Some people like 4s though.

I believe you are correct in that theory.

True, but if you switch to 6's, you will have more shot in the pattern, with all the knockdown power you will need at turkey range.  If something about 6's turns you off...go to 5's; still better than 4's.  I have killed turkeys with plain old lead shot in 4's...5's...6's...and 7.5's.  My go to choice....6's !!!

I suggest 5's as well and maybe trying a different brand or something. My gun blows holes at 20 and closer. My patterns looks about like your 15 yards at 40 yards. Not tooting my own horn, just suggesting that you try something different for your own benefit brother.
