Annuals for whitetails?

How's the draw on winter rye? I was under the impression that deer weren't crazy about it?

deer love winter rye.  WR is a grain not to be confused with rye grass.

are oats hard to grow? and who makes the best seed in your opinion?

oats and wr are easy to grow.  I never used buck on the bag seed for oats or WR.  I just go to my local seed co-op and purchase 50lb bag of field oats for $9 and WR for $15.

I just use whole cleaned oats from feed mill 10 a 50 lb bag (2 bushel) 2 bushel an acre to plant.

A couple years ago the farmer, who owns the property I hunt, put in oats and the deer loved them. They were in it all the time.
