Bachelor group bucks

I’ve notice over the years usually the biggest buck on my trail camera,  seems to be alone during summer months. Seems like smaller bucks are generally in bachelor groups together in my area. Has anyone else noticed this? Maybe there’s not enough mature bucks to pair up together? I know they usually pair up by age.

I found the one i got last year 6 1/2yrs old and had photos for the 3 yrs prior was never in a group but normally had one smaller buck with him all the time at 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 it was the same one at 6 1/2 it was a little 4pt im guessing his buddy from the prior yrs got shot our out grew his welcome... but he was solo come mid october,,,,, his buddy was normally near by but not together like summer early fall

Ive only seen mature bucks together in early spring and then its debatable if they are together or only using same food source.  

I do see a young buck hang with a mature buck in summer
