Fertilizer Options

So I planted my seed blend a week and a 1/2 ago. Corn, sunflower, buckwheat & sorghums. Whats the best fert to apply?

depends on the needs of the grounds it was planted in.Best to have the soil tested.

If you don't get tested go with a 15-15-15 blend. But, I would strongly recommend getting your soil tested first.

Am I correct corn needs nitrogen?

Corn is very PH tolerant...  Triple 15 will work well for corn

A soil test is much cheaper than seed in most cases. Why people don't do it is beyond me.

for that mix it will need mostly N.  Buckwheat doenst need any though....Also, they all will grow in a low ph.

I didnt do a soil test on my property frankly because my area has great soil and its a small plot. Now my other property I did a soil test because my assumptions were the soil needed help and it did. Thanks g2 my thoughts were more like a 30-0-0.
