Nothing has changed for muzzleloaders being shipped as far as I can see. Am I correct?? No ffl and can ship ups....

Last one I bought in April shipped FedEx to my door with no FFL or NICS check

I tried to ship my white today to Doc White and the lady at the ups store said she wasn't sure of the laws and would call me if there was a problem. I said that would be fine as I knew I was legal.

Couple years ago I had the manager of the Syracuse UPS terminal refuse to ship a mz to Doc. Claimed it had to go ffl. I tried to explain that the difference, but she said if it fired a bullet, it was illegal to ship. Let's just say further discussion did not help and I left just before a call was made about a disruptive customer.

I ordered a TC from Sportsmans Guide and it came FedEx to my door without a problem.

Prior to this, I bought and sold probably 20 - all shipped thru UPS, USPS and Fedex.

Never an issue until trying the main hub in Syr - where you would think the manager would know the regulations.

Ship it through the u ship it type stores.The main office doesn't like anything.I had a gun damaged in shipment a few years back and it almost too a act of god to let me bring it in to show them the damage.....and then they said it wasn't their fault it was packed wrong.This packed wrong rifle was double boxed and in a plastic case,you could clearly see boot prints and where a corner of something punctured the boxes and case right through to the receiver

I put in a case and stuffed box with paper shreads. I really hope it gets shipped ok and damage free

As long as the gun is a muzzle loader only, and can not accept a different barrel to convert it to a centerfire, you can buy it just like buying a pair of shoes.

It's not the buying that is an issue  its the local shipping. Ups doesn't know the rules. I will check the tracking number Monday to see if it was shipped.
