Universal shooting rails

Im looking to add some shooting rails to some of my hang on sets. Anyone ever use one of these? Are they steady? It looks like there might be a problem with them being flimsy or spongy feeling.

Oak sturdy vital shot gun rest , google it and check it out , just bought one , little pricey but I see it lasting me a life time, real sweet gig, I have practiced enough and literally shoot long range all year except archery season I am capable of out 4-450 on the bench or prone and this thing makes me capable of that out of a stand

Second above I just got mine the other day,solid piece of gear love it.

Those universals idk some say not to solid many say the back rest pushes you off your seat.

I was just thinking about the same thing to add to a few of my stands... Then I realized why don't I just use my top section of my climber? I think it would act as a great shooting rail and would for sure be solid. I may end up doing that.

That oak sturdy rest looks great, but its outside of my budget right now. I might have all of the materials to make the same thing out of wood though.

 

Larry, would you be willing to take some quick length measurements on the sections for me? Maybe a picture of the section that attaches to the tree?

Prior to getting it I thought of running a board under the stand so it hangs out the field side,then using a shooting stick off that.

Yeah I could use my shooting stick, the rail would be better though, I think.

I bought a steady ready..and like it...I also have retractable shooting sticks...but the steady ready straps to my arm...so even if I get a shot walking in it's right there

I have a big game rail that looks like the one in the first link.

It pushes your back too far from the tree, IMO.
