2 for 2 with this bow, 35 yard shot. Two minutes into legal shooting time I slipped my arrow between the ribs of this 1 1/2yr old doe never hearing that loud THWACK I have come to love. At first I thought I gut shot it because of the sound but she ran forty yrds , stopped, did the wobble and down she went. Climbed down from my stand at 6:36A and spent the rest of the day with family… after a quick trip to the butcher. At this rate my freezer will soon be full.

NJ legal hunting time is one half hour before sunrise and one half hour after sunset. In my hunting area sunrise was 6:58AM so legal time is 6:28AM. It does change quite a bit everyday so one must be careful one week to the next, actualy one day to the next. Usually legal time is also when I can see my pins clearly.

I didn't realize you were in jersey...I got a coyote there in September and had to pass a nice 7 because I hadn't filled a doe tag.

I will be back after Christmas for one last chance to fill 2013 tag and buying my new tag and hunting jan-feb late season...I hunt near Philipsburg.

I actually use a couple different apps that use my phone/gps to give me solar and lunar specifics.

For the record. I was'nt giving him grief. I was sticking up for him. Hence the thumbs up. Trust me I know the feeling. When I shot my buck this season. The ethics police were out in full force with every assumption under the sun. It was quite annoying to say the least.
