Woodjr55
My property is forecasted to get 30 inches of snow before the weekend is up according to the paper. Now I doubt that we will get that much but will deer be moving with that much snow on the ground?
G-Man
deer seem to hold up for first 24 hrs after a heavy snow, after that they reopen trail and feed. look for thermal cover, last 3 days deer have been herding up in thermal cover by me, and have moved into the standing corn. Doc
We have an area of old hemlock trees. There always is a lot less snow in that area than any of the surrounding areas. Heavy snow .... that is where I head. They do react to bad weather by going into that area.

wooly
We already got hit with 30" the past two days. Deer will not be moving much at all, and will be bedded VERY close to the food sources. They may not even leave them when snow gets this deep if the path to ideal bedding cover is too plugged up.
