nut trees in southern new york

Any body have any idea where i could buy nut trees (hazel, walnut, etc) in southern new york?

Check out Stark Brothers at http://www.starkbros.com/ as a good source of mail order trees. As far as local retail outlets, that would depend on what part of southern New York you're talking about. Most of those probably will not be known to anyone other than those that live in your area. Be sure to check the growing zones recommended for your area. Some of the varieties sold are for more southern states.

what kind of nuts do u want...and for what game?

 

MAke sure u get the trees from a northern grown farm...when u get trees from downsouth they are not as hardy, and can introduce disease and blights.

Millers is out of business and the name is now owned by Stark Brothers. Hopefully the quality of product will still be as good as it was when Millers was supplying the product. Too bad, Millers was just a couple of hills over from me, and I used to be able to drive over and see the product before buying.
