So i finally got up to the cabin. Set up my new hub blind -Ameristep Mountaineer. Pouring rain out. Sitting inside the house looking at my sd card I pulled. Found a new friend..

Thought I had pitched the blind on top of Niagara Falls this morning. I actually had to abandon ship, LOL.

Creek was raising rapidly.

Not too bad here in Columbia County. We are high up on a hill and the ponds are about 500 yards below my setup.

I've been doing a lot of bird watching this morning from a far. One Jake came in but way out of bow range. Got plenty of room in my new blind so I'm sticking it out.

Back out there this morning. Cool crisp morning. Lots of gobbles on other side of property. Same setup when my son took one the following day. Hoping for the best.

Heard some yelping about 45 mins ago over my right shoulder above the ridge behind my blind but nothing came my way. Need to call it a day and maybe the season for me by 9am.
