Doe Hunting

Anyone doe hunt? I got my doe tags and as soon as I did my friend gave me the 5th degree on how I am wrong for doe hunting. But I hunt for the meat and the antlers arent edible so I could care less. So my question is how many of you doe hunt..

I would take two does over an average buck anyday. Slickhead venison is awsome. That's one reason I hunt them. We don't get dmp's for nuttin - and I wish I would have gotten both.

To me the horns are a bonus. I have 5 kids still at home so I also hunt for the meat. I have never tried to eat an antler but I bet they are not very tasty

DOE HUNTER HERE. Used to hunt horns, had a hard time tenderizing them. Any age doe will taste better than any buck young or old.

Meat is meat to me I shoot what ever comes by.  I would rather shoot a buck but don't hesitate on does!!!

I saw a pic of the buck you got earlier.  That thing looked like it would fill 3 freezers !!!!

I dont know about you guys but i deer hunt haha. If its close enough and i have a tag in my pocket then its going down or im finding a hunting partner with tags haha.

Thanks for the replys. I said the same thing shot it who cares if it has antlers. The only way I think I wouldnt shoot a doe is if it had its fawns with her. But otherwide bang..
