Paula
I am looking to get stone for my driveway, we have trees that line it so they won't dump and go. I guess they will either just dump it or use a swing arm. Does anyone know what that is and how that works? I come up with two different swing arms thingy when i look it up

pewlodar
Not sure I have heard it called a swing arm but some Dump trucks that deliver stone have a conveyor belt system attached called a sling. The truck empties by releasing stone onto the belt and the stone is "thrown" or slung into place. A good driver/operator can probably throw the stone about 100 ft and with decent accuracy. They can spread the material as thin or thick as you want. Costs more then dump and go delivery but saves time and effort of spreading material yourself.
