growalot
Opinions please...I have a very good stand in the corner of our property...rarely hunt it because in bow they dead run for the pines behind me...and I was having trouble connecting with owner since they dropped # in book...Well finally I did and locked in tracking permission ....Pines are1000's of ft deep but only 30 yrds wide...a 30yrd wide and 1000's ft deep corn planting is being cut that buts up to it then a clover then a hayfield with clover alfalfa and timothy then a large drying corn feild, all headed west on our line...on the other side of pines is a 1st stage regrowth of a hayfield...maple slashing deer bed in.......... he's cutting right now ..not hunting tonight...but when do you think the best time will be to hunt that stand... tomorrow morning ...night... wait a day????it is being silage cut...I believe they will still use same paths in and out through our woods because of the growing clover in the oats he cut 2 wks ago. MACHINIST
We've had luck right after but your other concern may be if there is any oak or beech trees dropping
BKhunter
We hunt our corn fields as soon as possible after they cut them.
growalot
Not too concerned about that because the oaks and beech are on us have 200 red oaks with 1/2 producing at least some acorns and the beech have been dropping since August...but right now it's the hopphorn/iron wood pods they are going for......So the morning it is.... First-light
Best hunt ever was when the were cutting. I was right in the middle of the escape route.
