growalot
so if you read my live from the woods...what are the chances it could have been a hit?I ask because once the trail wentover the ridge down hill...I figured if it was I know she'd try to bed under the pines at bottom of hill........it certainly is cold enough to leave her be tonight..or she went to neighbors...I heard shots from that way...any ways I ask for also with the 6pt I took henot only had no blood but I had a heck of a time finding the bullet hole when I found him...I'm using federal power shoc soft points.. The thing is from the target shots....I'm shooting a little high close in...So unless I was high on all 3 shots...I'm shooting a little left of center in my winter gear and she was coming in from my lft. philoshop
Lots of fat on them again this year. Rifle sized holes can close up before any blood is even shed. Best of luck with your search Grow.

growalot
So I went out and followed the tracs and they never slowed down after last shot..they went to new neighbors place...I heard him shoot not long after me so maybe he got her...I know that the tracks showed no sign of a hit..must have been doe fever seeing I haven't been seeing them and the last time I had a shot the xbow wouldn't fire...I worked hard geting that 243 zeroed in this summer...This has truely been a messed up season so far...I'm back to the browning...came in early this bug is working it's way through me and not in a good way.... So I find out last night that there has been some feeding going on most of the fall...and one of lease guys wife talks..apparently trusts the ppl she talks to..second set of business books...hubby shooting multiple bucks on her tags all beeen going on for years...and now he got a beautiful 10 pt over the feeding area he has...Really runs his life like he runs his repair business.. the great white hunter... .but long and short now I know why I'm seeing tracks going past plots and not into them...have to admit though...they aren't shooting as early as last year..well at least not with guns... fasteddie
My son got a 8 point last night just before quitting time . We waited a bit as he wasn't sure if and where he hit it . Spent a lot of time looking for blood and to see where he might have dug into the ground while hauling butt . Never saw a spot of blood but continuing to look paid off and we found his deer .
growalot
The only shots I had were shoulder and front half...I don't think she would have been able to run that 20oyrds to the road then across to the neighbors with out showing some sign of a hit in the tracs she made...200yrds is a long ways for a lung shotI definately never hit shoulderI'll know her when I see her...very light in color with a unusually dark face mask...
