airedale
Anyone with any experience with any of the newer binoculars having the built in laser range finder, been reading about them and am mildly interested. I love the idea but they can be a little pricey. Al
Doc
My old Nikon archery rangefinder has some small magnification as a monocular. It is accurate as proven out with my 200' tape measure. So why wouldn't binocular range finders be accurate too. Are you looking for archery range-finding or rifle range-finding? That may make a difference in your choice. airedale
I have some good binoculars and I have a good rangefinder but I like the idea of just carrying one piece of equipment that can do the job of two. The manufacturers all make good claims for their products and the reviews I read are good, that being said I like to hear from any folks that actually have purchased and used these combo jobs. Moho81
My friend hunts with the Vortex with the built in range finder. It also has some ability to program ballistics into it and it will give you bullet drop info at the distance you just targeted. Pricy as all heck but he loves it. He does nuisance hunts for a farm and shoots long range often.
airedale
From what I am gathering the Vortex combos get the highest ratings but as you say they are pricey. Another outfit called Astra Optix has a more moderately priced set that is rated high from folks that own them. As of now I am still up in the air on making a purchase. airedale
Well I took the plunge and picked up the Bushnell Fusion Range finding binoculars, when it comes to binoculars I have been a long time Bushnell user and I have had very good luck with that brand. They are a middle of the road priced set and a good deal was had with Amazon's prime days. I have been playing around with them a bit and really like them, beats carrying a set of binoculars and a separate range finder. Al
