When anti-gun folks ask "WHY?"

Truthfully the people asking don’t really want to know why; they are looking to get into a rhetoric fight.  They don’t really care what you have to say, and already have a few sound bites chambered and ready to go as soon as you stop talking.  These folks don’t really have an open mind, and nothing you say is going to change their mind.

I can't recall anyone ever asking me why I owned a firearm.
