With all the rules/regulation changes does anyone know if it is still legal to use/melt lead to make them.I have made enough in the past to last me for many years but was in the garage thinking of something that I could do to pass time.

As far as I kniw there's no law against making them. Possessing lead sinkers (while fishing) under 1/2oz is illegal I think.

i agree its selling them that is against the law up to a certain size

There's no law that prohibits possession I believe. Sale of any lead for purposes of fishing under 1/2 oz is illegal in NYS. Possession is not. Hope this helps.

As far as I know, it is not illegal to make them, possess or to use them.

It is illegal to sell them.

I wouldn't be selling them.It's nice to not have to purchase them save's about 20.00 bucks a year making them.
