They could come in many different ways... Hell look at the guy that flew to the white house MILES under the most sophisticated radar in the world ..What was it? 10miles of a no fly zone...do you think they weren't listening when detailed reports of just how high he was flying to go undetected were reported? how many miles of secluded border do we have both air and sea?...

Now that I brought that back up...what would they have done to stop him over the crowded city streets below...What good would scrambling jet fighters have done? Would they have machine gunned him down over a multitude of tourist both domestic and foreign? Fired a missile? Really don't you wonder?

This would be a lot riskier than simply walking/ driving stuff across an unmanned border that is already proven as such.

She was a jerk, but that is no reason to be denied one's rights. The really disturbing thing about this issue is the air of acceptance, with regards these intrusions into our rights as being OK, and somehow for the greater good.

You WILL be interrogated for driving within 100 miles of the Canadian border

 

 

Random checkpoints are being set up by U.S. Customs [DHS] agents in the northeast within 100 miles of the Canadian border.

The Border Patrol operates a national network of internal checkpoints, illegally stopping motorists up to 100 miles inside our border! These illegal checkpoints allow DHS to stop and search law-abiding American citizens without justification.

It’s about to get much WORSE, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee approved Bill S.750 which gives Border Patrol/DHS agents “immediate access to federal land within 100 miles” of both national borders and prohibit the “Secretaries of Interior and Agriculture” from impeding any CBP activities.

“Border Patrol already has unfettered access to protected federal public lands along the border,” Dan Millis, borderlands program coordinator for the Grand Canyon Chapter of theSierra Club. “In fact, Border Patrol currently has more access to the border and surrounding lands than the public.”

Imagine this: You and your family drive to Maine to visit Acadia National Park which receives over 2 MILLION tourists. Acadia is within 100 miles of the border and our govt sets up checkpoints to interrogate EVERY visitor! That’s the future of Police State America if we allow this B.S. to continue.

 

Christian Ramírez, director of the Southern Border Communities Coalition, criticized the legislation not only for what it sets out to do, but for what it doesn’t do. “What any border bill should include are reforms to Customs and Border Protection to ensure greater oversight and accountability, none of which are included in S.750.”

Setting up checkpoints 50+ miles from any of these accessible border crossing areas makes no sense. I am sure there are roads that a closer to said crossing points. Smugglers are going to need road infrastructure as soon as possible. And if indeed they are crossing over through the barren wilderness, it makes even less sense to be road blocking. A helicopter sounds like a better bet.

There is a reason why civilian groups have taken to policing our borders. The authorities have dropped the ball on this problem in a very large way. And now we have ISIS in 49 of the 50 states according to the director of the FBI. BP is a waste of tax dollars at this point.

What happened to that Greek fighting spirit against tyranny?

 

I don't care if the incident occurred an inch from the border. American citizens who are not actually crossing do not need to be stopped and harassed in this manner. It is a worrying trend.
