Mendon Ponds Deer

Visited my sons and grandkids in Honeoye Falls this morning . On the way to my daughters homes in Irondiquoit , I drove up West Bloomfield road and across Pond Road to Rt 65 to see if there were any deer out in the daytime . Saw a total of 8 in a yard .

I go home from work that way down 251 to 65 pass Mendon ponds park I see 60+ deer sometimes

My sons both work in Henrietta and live in Honeoye Falls . They have had some close calls with deer on Rt 65 / Clover .......

The only (knock on wood) deer that I ever just plain stuffed with my car was on 65 right by the park. I had an 84 Caddy Sedan De'Ville at the time, hit a good size doe at 50, never had time to hit the brakes. I hardly felt it, but I drove right through the cloud of hair. She got wedged into the grill area and didnt come out until I stopped. Still only $700 damage to the car as I could still fix that one in my driveway pretty easy. 90% of the newer cars would have been a total loss with a hit like that one.
