Anyone know where I can buy 209M primers. Have used Winchester 209's in the past and and a few hang fires.

I think most gun shops, Walmart, Dicks, etc would carry them  You sure it was hang fire due to primer or could have ignition hole in breech plug been clogged a bit ? Just a thought. I've never had a hang fire with Winchester primers yet. Just about done with a box too.

I don't know what gun your using but they make special breech plugs for using blackhorn. A drill bit can solve the problem on most guns. I have great luck with cci primers and rio's "rio's being a little hotter."

Never seen reloading supplies at Dicks or Walmart. Yes my breech plugs were clear the few times it's happened. I've used the drill bit method to clean the plugs. Would just like to try a hotter primer as recommended by blackhorn.

Mine should arrive today!! Hope I didn't just jinx myself.

I order some 209 along with Swiss 2F and some smokeless from Graff about 2 weeks ago, it's coming sooner than I expected!

Can't wait to see how it performs in the recommended 100-120 gr. charge under a 300 gr Harvester Scorpion PT in my new (to me) LHR Redemption.

p.s., the swiss 2F should also burn a little cleaner in my Hatfield .45.

Are you using the blackhorn specific breech plug?

BH 209 and Thor bullets.  I can shoot a cloverleaf at 100 yards with 3 shots with my CVA Accura.  It's extremely clean and consistent.  Also - I am using 209 primers without issue.

This was my setup for Colorado Mule Deer last year, and the cloverleaf was actually with a peep sight. On at 100,  I was 7 inches low at 150, using 82 grains by weight of BH 209 = 110 grains by measure.

I won't go back to a saboted bullet with this gun.  My T/C likes sabots though. Haven't run through the proper load on that yet.
