Licking Branch: Dead Branch=No Buck?

The licking branch over a scrape that the bucks have been using for ten years is now dead and the scrape is (as of last Saturday) is untouched.

 

Has it been abandoned?

Perhaps all is not lost. Attach a branch to the remainder of the old branch and dowse it up with some attractant and see what happens.

Try cutting the licking branch off an active scrape and zip tie it to your old one.
