Sterling Forest Deer

Hunted the Long Trail area of Sterling Forest this morning and saw and heard absolutely nothing, is anyone else having any luck there this season?

I'd imagine with almost no DMPs handed out for Sterling, not many people are hunting there. I didn't hunt Sterling this year for that reason.

We counted 8 dashboard hunter permits on the 3 cars parked at trailhead when we left this morning

That would mean at least one car had at least 3 people in it. Very seldom do I see that many hunters in one vehicle.

i personnally haven't hunted there yet for deer, but i have spoke with 4 people that have and they haven't seen a thing.

. Lol I hunted there for years never had someone transport my deer... Guess I'm just not lazy... I don't hunt there any more because the hunting is not very good and I now have access to private land

I have been hunting Sterling Forest since the state took it over and I have never seen it this quiet

Three days out in Sterling. Spooked a buck at 0530 on the way in. Day three saw three doe and two more an hour later. Too far from me and they were moving so no chance at a shot.
