I got one in the mail courtesy of Lawdwaz today..

It has a great sound and it's good and LOUD, just like I like them.

It is IMMEDIATELY replacing the Quaker Boy that I have carried for years..

Besides that, it's cool looking ( all wood) and more compact than I expected.

Now I just have to dig a lanyard out of my STUFF..I have 4 or 5 of them buried SOMEWHERE..<<grin>>..

Little off topic.. Any of you veteran crow callers ever had one that was just a piece of crap. Mine can only be used a couple of times before it gets too moist & the reeds stick together. Always assumed it was me & I had too much hot/moist air... LOL. Almost hate to invest any more $$ and get the same results.

Yeah, Slowhand,I have had a couple like that. My very first one was a small black plastic OLT with an enclosed reed, and it would "freeze up" from moisture. After that I have always bought open reed calls that are much less prone to that problem.

The other one is a handmade custom call that I bought from a guy at The NWTF Annual Convention in Nashville a few years back. It sure is PRETTY, but it sounds more like a sick seagull than a crow. I have it stuffed in a drawer somewhere, I think. I might better have it on display because it's no good for anything other than to LOOK at !
