Dang !! What tube you shooting ?  XR's are good ain't they ?

Mossy 835 with the factory Accu choke. I think the pattern is even a little too tight. I have killed a lot of toms inside of 20yds.  I normally shoot Winchester XX #4 or 5. Not as tight a pattern but a lot of hits right in there.

I meant to bring a couple after market tubes with me, to compare, but I forgot. I have a Jelly head, truglow and maybe another. They all shot about the same as the factory tube with the Win XX shells so I always just kept the original tube in.

I agree, Ants...That pattern is scary tight...I think you would be handicapping yourself on shots at the range most of us shoot turkeys, say 20 to 40 yards.. What's the point of having a pattern that will kill at 65 yards if we never intend to shoot past 45 yards ? It makes more sense to me to use a load that that will kill at 40 or 45 yards but leaves a little more margin of error if the shot is taken at closer range, especially when the adrenaline factor kicks in.

The object here should be efficiently killing turkeys at normal ranges, not doing a competitive "turkey shoot" where we place the most pellets in an inch circle at long range.
