fasteddie
Are you talking about an "original post" ? I hadn't tried it but I know on some sites you can't change the original post so that there aren't several responses to that post and then the context would be changed . It would screw up everything .
Geno C
its weird, if i wanted to modify my origonal post on this thread it lets me but i am unable to modify my origonal post in the general chit chat section. i was going to modify my first post in my car thread but it doesnt give me the option... WNYBuckHunter
Are you sure it just doesnt let you modify it after a certain amount of time? I can even see that being a good idea to keep the integrity of the thread. Try starting a thread to test it out, we can always delete it if need be. fasteddie
how does not being able to modify a post keep the integrity of a thread? Lets say you make an initial statement in a post and people respond to that particular statement . Then you go in and change the original post . That affects what everyone else responded to . bpb
If you know the thread might be modified make a copy of it so when the person makes a change you can call him on it.
