Sunday Rabbit hunt

  I went out sunday with my two beagles we had a couple of short starts but with the deep snow I think the rabbits where just running under it.  Now we are suppose to get 3-6 today and 12 -18 tomorrow I think the rabbit season might be over unless someone knows where I can pick up some snow shoes (not rabbits either)for the beagles?

It was tough for us bird hunting Saturday too, it took alot out of my dog..well for a few hours any way. Thank goodness for the treadmill, at least I can still excercise him the way he needs it and keep him in shape. Unless we get a heat wave we are done for the year too.

Hello, brand new to the site. I'm in WNY, but was considering a hunt "up north" for hares this weekend. I checked the tug hill weather cam and it looks like about a foot of snow. Where were you hunting where it was so deep?  Arrowsmith

I am in Northern Saratoga County and biggamefish is at the southern end, so the eastern part of the state. I now have snow up to my waste in the yard.. :'(

The snow here has been so deep I have not been out once for small game. We usually have some decent thaws but none so far this year.

Hey guys I am hunting tomorow hopefeully on island for rabbit, and will be wearing my snowshoes, as the snow is pretty deep and hard to walk on. Will post outcome either way
