G-Man
I always watch the meteor showers but here is a one day timed event for you to watch . For my fellow sky watchers.. .Friday night, Jul 29, at 22:10:38 there will be an Iridium Flare .The flash will be from Iridium satellite #61 and will have a magnitude of -8.0, about 100 times as bright as Venus! It will be at an altitude of 47° and an azimuth of 67° (ENE). If the sky is clear it will be an awesome sight!
