Best cell phone service in upstate new york

What cell company works best in the big woods of caskills and Adirondacks.

In the Adirondacks the best one is a sat phone. We have to drive 30 minutes or walk nearly 5 miles to get service at my camp.

Dam that sucks I I'm planning to go up to the dacts later in the year probably by my self don't no if my friends can come   . It's nice to have when you out there alone .

I would say Verizon is the best...currently I have att and it is ok...ALOT of the adirondack have no service...doesn't matter what carrier

I have Verizon and it's awful but my cousin has sprint and it's just as bad. I love not having service! The sat phone we turn on when we need it so no calls in!

What are the rates like  a saw lowest on the internet  1.75 min  is that about right pretty much ?

You can rent them for under $50 a week .

Is that what you guys did ?

I believe all cell phone carriers can show you a map that shows where they have service.  In the Catskills, I think Verizon is the best, but there are paces you won't get service.  The ADK's are the same, but there are a LOT of places you won't get service.

I bought it 10 years ago with 200 minutes and we still have over 150 left. I think I payed 600$for it when my wife was pregnant.

Here the second best reason to hunt the edge and not the center of the Adirondack park.  The primary reason is that there are a lot less deer in the center.   Deer need food and the mature forest at the center provides very little compared to the mixed farmland and logged forests on the edges.  My Verizon cellphone provides excellent coverage in zones 6C and 6F at least.  That makes it real nice after you get a deer (or bear).  Just call camp and get someone to get an ATV as close as possible to your location (been there done that).
