Woodjr55
This has prolly been covered before but what's everyone's opinion on placing cameras by stands. I have had the same camera infront of my stand for 2 years on an old logging trail my buddy thinks that they scare away big bucks what's everyone's opinion on that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
turkeyfeathers
Look at the amount of deer almost smiling at the cameras. Do they know 'something's up", absolutely , are they spooked never to return again, we'll never probably know. I've got a cam near our blind, not worried about it in the least. ApexerER
I can't say they don't scare deer for sure but I have seen lots of pics posted of nice bucks on trail camera and have caught a couple myself. I have two cameras within 40 yds of my stand. What drives me crazy is I usually see deer from the stand but have a hard time catching them on camera no matter where I move them
Cabin Fever
From the pics that you've gotten, do the deer appear spooked? I don't think this is a one size fits all. Different manufacturers cams might make a faint noise where others don't, White flash vs. IR vs. black flash, How noticeable is cam placement, Remote area vs. farm where they are use to human activity, lots of factors...
Buckmaster7600
I have 15 cameras I run and not 1 is within 100yds of a stand. Mature bucks avoid cameras in my opinion.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
