There are many factors to all of it, but my favorite one is that they cheated bernie, and that's why they lost. This has empirical support. He beat clinton for example in a couple of "blue wall" states, which trump then narrowly won. What if the DNC had not conspired against him? What if all the super delegates so eager to show fealty had instead given him a chance? The polls of sanders vs trump showed him beating trump far more than clinton vs trump.

My belief is that sanders would have beaten trump and the democrats have themselves to blame for this. Next time, be honest. Listen to the people, not the lobbyists.

The dems gambled it all and lost it all. Now they are left with nothing. No meaningful leader to their party and lost both chambers.

Barnie would have never won sorry but a bunch of spoiled college kids looking for a free lunch is not enough to win  a election  . There own intern polls showed bernie had no chance .   Colonel Sanders could have won against him lol 

Mr gobal warming and free college till your 40 years old lol  , that guy was a clown they only picked him just to make sure hilary got the nomation in the first place .  I dont think any demcrat could have beaten trump  you have to give him credit . And i believe if he doesn't mess up even Does half-ass job he will easily win in four years again. Because next time he will have a more organized campaign .

I believe this election was pretty simple. Not enough people could bring themselves to vote for a candidate that they know is corrupt. I believe that was the bottom line. Trump could have done a much better job if he didn't clown his way through and then become serious the last month.

I agree.  Many people couldn't vote for Hillary because of all the corruption and scandals.  And, many didn't want to vote for Trump because he acted like a buffoon.

I really believe the nail in her coffin was calling voters who didn't jump on her bandwagon "a basket of deplorables". I guess she forgot who put her husband in office 16 years ago, and who she stole from to get where she is today...the working people of this country.
