Whereareyoubuck
Took me 2 weeks to clean out all the flesh and cartilage off my skull, looks awesome. I don't want to bleach it and love the way it looks right now, do I need to coat it with polyurethane or anything? If I just mount it on the wall like this, will it be okay? rachunter
If you polyurethane it's going to turn yellow over time.

If your looking for a clear coat give "Modge Podge" a look. I've done antlers in the clear before and you get the gloss look without the yellowing effect. You can find it at hobby lobby. Whereareyoubuck
Ok so I definitely need to seal it?
chrisw
You don't have to seal it if you like the way it looks now. I have several European mounts and none are sealed. You should be fine the way it is! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Zem18
I agree with Chris and rachunter, no sealant needed unless you want it glossy looking. Mine look more natural without and if you change your mind down the road or if it does yellow a bit, you can always use some peroxide to whiten it. I hit one a year later with peroxide and it freshened it right back up.
