So, there is a couple of...

Guys from this forum, not all that far from me. At least I'm thinking it could be so. I'm the only one that talks about brush pile fences often....and I see two different properties with new brush pile fencing started. Took back roads home from errands today just to get a different view on a beautiful sunny day. When I spotted them... Looks like they'll work fine as a view blocker...lol  The deer were really out moving last night and today...tracks everywhere and a few road dead...They know there is a change in the air.

I have huge brush piles every year that I burn during winter months. They really are not located in any area where a brush-pile fence would have any use. However, brush is a major building feature for my hunting blinds (gun and/or bow).

Based on some your descriptions I can't be far from you. Got a couple of pretty good weed piles here that really have no purpose other than a place to keep yard debris, trimmed weeds. etc......Rabbits etc. use it but that was not the intended purpose.

Not a gardener, farmer, or horticulturist,  so I either trim and mow if it is green or blow it if it is white!!

These were along the road and backed up to a bunch of growing tubes...so close to those new trees, I'm assuming they are trying to protect the growth out of the tubes...If your reading this you'd best leave those tubes one permanently. I won't bet,I'll guarantee  those trees will be girded by rodents. I purposely build fencing around big trees12-14 in diameters  just so the rodents will kill them...and it takes less than a year ...on season and the bark will be completely gone from ground to top of fence..So Never put a fence against trees that you want...

BTW the other fence was a few yards inside the tree line facing south...That was a camp the other a Residence...He does a lot of tree planting and tons of hinge cutting...along the road..lots of road frontage...poor guy...lol
