i went there last year.  saw the same thing.  also i was blown away at the idea people are starving there but there's no big game to hunt.  i kind of took it for granted that they'd have at least something to feed people well off the beaten path. i miss authentic jerk chicken too.

So true just on the drive to the resort my daughter says to me " It looks like a war zone". I honestly think the people don't care about the cleanliness of their surroundings. The creeks and ditches are littered with trash. Even myself I'm picking up napkins and other garbage on the resort cause of force of habit.
