Simple/inexpensive ground blind

A friend of mine sent me some pics of a simple/inexpensive way to build some shooting house/ground blinds

He works for a concrete contractor so some of the materials he gets for free, but they are all avail. at a local lumber yard.

As you can see he used a section concrete re-enforcement wire(main blind shape), a brown poly tarp(side wall covering), some household pipe insulation(window trim), and two sections of 2" foam foundation insulation(roof), bag of nylon cable ties(to attach everything together)

He states he puts a small "buddy" heater in them on really cold days and it is very comfortable for all day sitting.

Stake it down or the neighbor may be using it on opening weekend and the mice love that insulation .(trust me I know!)

Other than that it looks like a winner.

Yeah, we discussed that. I believe he did add the burlap afterwards.

He said the tarp material helped keep the majority of the wind out and the heat in.

isnt the tarp material noisey in a breeze, and when you can buy a pop up for 100 smackers is it cost effective? well atleast the money isnt going to China, ohh wait a minute they make the tarps and rebarb too.
