Revamp Buffalo rail terminal/Melania Security/money

just read something about the awkward and expensive protection for first lady and son at trump tower. The tab is getting pretty high and people are concerned....many millions spent on securing trump family with federal dollars, but I just read up on a proposal to revamp or build a train station in Buffalo. Choice is either Canalside or the old central terminal. There are some rough costs...maybe $79 MILLION for canalside or $120 MILLION to refurbish the central terminal using federal money. My understanding is that fewer than 100 people use the existing train station downtown and yet Congressman Higgins thinks doing a project of this magnitude will spur economic growth. He favors the old central terminal.

Anyone that ventures down to old terminal should be concerned due to the criminal element lurking around....who in their right mind would catch a train to wherever and leave a vehicle parked in such a neighborhood?...would be stripped in no time....OK, maybe Trumps should have relocated and saved us all some money, but dumping many millions into a dilapidated train station in Buffalo just does not make economic sense to me....people took the last train out of Buffalo years ago for a reason....city is dead.....just sayin'....

What about the flights to Florida every weekend?  So far it seems like he goes down each and every weekend.  Say what you want about Obama, Bush, Clinton, the last few presidents, but I don't remember them flying off somewhere every weekend just to get away from the White House.  These trips have got to be costing millions upon millions.  Time will tell how this all pans out. 

And what's up with Donald and Melania?  I can understand her wanting to be in NYC until the boy finishes up the school year, but it sure looks to me like their relationship is as cold as Lake Erie in January.  Hell, they look less in love than Bill and Hillary.  Maybe they are still together just for show?  Maybe she's getting too old for the Donald and he wants someone younger again?

Obama’s Travel Cost Taxpayers More Than $96 Million

President Obama's travel expenses cost taxpayers more than $96 million during his time in office, according to a report from the watchdog group Judicial Watch.

The group obtained documents from the Secret Service and Air Force that revealed President Obama's travel over the last eight years totaled $96,938,882.51.

None of this includes the cost of Michelle Obama's trips which also ran into the millions.

Always fascinating around here how people pick and choose what they want to read and believe.
Like I said, it will be interesting to see how these trips pan out and if he continues to go down there just about every weekend.  But if he does he will surpass Obama's tab awfully quick.  Probably in less than a year compared to Obama's 8 years.

According to Diplomat.com, “The First Lady, daughters Malia and Sasha, and mother Marian Robinson visited Beijing’s Forbidden City and Summer Palace as well as the Great Wall, the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi’an, and the Chengdu Panda Base.”

Americans have allowed elected elites to become our version of royalty.  the citizens have the power to stop all of this nonsense and refuse to pay for any of this stuff.  If members of Congress were to vote against it, it would stop.  If the people elected members of Congress willing to stop it, the problem would be solved.
