Exemptions for gun purchases in Canada...

Recommended Posts

I found this interesting. Coming soon to NYS?

One could argue that it is an infringement on your rights. Personally I say F*ck You. Your picture is being taken whether you like it or not. If I need my picture taken so should you!

What if I said , my religion requires that I wear a Ski Mask !

That's essentially what a burka is if used for nefarious reasons. An ID card without a photo is not actually an ID card.

This is precisely what the gal in the video said at the end. Anyone wearing a burka and carrying a legal non-photo gun license in Canada has access to guns. Gee, I wonder what could go wrong with that.

So what would you say to an amish man who wanted to get a gun license, but also can not have his picture taken?

I don't think there is a religion-based prohibition on the Amish having their pictures taken. I've personally taken many photos over the years in the sawmills I've done business with, and they're usually quite proud of their operations and the fact that someone would care to photograph them and their machinery.

Many Amish believe that posing for a picture is a graven image, which is why most community's do not take pictures. They do make a distinction between posing for a picture (like for a gun or drivers licence) and having one taken of them while working. I've also heard some believe pictures steal souls or something along those lines.

Must have heard that on the short lived Amish Mafia show on discovery channel. Side note I do miss when they used to play surgeries on the channel on friday nights. That was always cool to watch and very educational
