friction call strikers

Has any one seen or used a striker with a synthetic tip? I know I had one at one time, of course I can't find it. I was looking for it since all my strikers got wet on Saturday and I remembered that this striker worked when wet. It may have been from Knight & Hale?

I have made my own from broken carbon arrows and  dried corncobs, piece of cut and drilled hard wood ...I filed a bevel on the end and they work pretty well

Grow, I have a few of the strikers with the carbon arrow shafts, I was talking about a striker that had some abrasive material on the tip of the wooden striker.

Oh...I have one of those to...I like the purrs, from it..wooden with a black tip.

Can also use a piece of an old aluminum arrow... just have to make the other end solid... will work on glass as well, even wet...
