Damn Ants

I checked my trail Cams in Geneseo this past Wednesday . Two of the cameras had tiny ants in them . I didn't have my cotton balls and ant killer in my backpack . I tore some strips of mosquito wipes and put them in the camera . Don't know if they will do anything but it was worth a try .

The grass and weeds are so high that they set off the camera when they blow in the breeze so I got a lot of "nothing" pictures .

Ants are bad this year...started the tiller and I see this white stuff flowing out from under the gas tank in the engine...what the heck?...Eggs thousands of them with the tiniest ants...they poured out of it for a good 2 mins. as I tilled. That was a first..it's usually mice. run gorilla tape or a good duct tape sticky side out above and below the cam ,around the tree.. That's the cheaper way. or spread sticky trap for fruit fly's on the tree. it will take care of those earwigs..which is what I have problems with. That and various tree worms sitting on the lenses

Never heard of that Growie . I will have to try that out . Would probably work like some of those sticky mouse traps . 

P.S. ---- I guess the hard part would be getting the tape away from the Gorilla !

It's put on apple shaped and colored(red) hanging orbs in apple trees just at flower drop...that is when the larva is inserted into the developing apples that cause those wormy apples...

OR hang a hummingbird feeder. Sure to attract every ant within 40 miles.

Thats where I first started using that trap paste..on the hang wire..Vaseline works OK too...

I think I am going to buy some Fly Ribbons and try them out . They are sticky as heck and you have to be careful hot to touch the sticky part . I will take along some push pins so I can pin one end to a tree and wrap it around the tree above and below like Growie said to do with the Gorilla tape . The fly ribbons are sticky on both sides . I won't be going to Geneseo for a couple weeks .

Gosh I forgot all about those things...Oh they were so very nasty when filled...

TF looks like it he was such a character around town good prices though...Or maybe not that would make the link from 2014 not 17 if they are saying 42 yrs I didn't find an O -bit.

I believe he is still around . I remember going to a 5K race many years ago in Geneseo . His band played before the race and did a great job purposely marching out of step .Buzzo marched in a bathrobe and slippers . Havn't seen any of his Buzzo commercials in years ! 

The Bear fountain has been hit 3 times in the past year . It has been there since the 1880's .
