Wildblue

Does anyone have wildblue internet at their home or camp? I would like to get internet at the camp other than dial-up. There are some bad reviews out there, I was wondering if anyone has it?

If its the satellite internet i heard its sucks from many friends. Slow and expensive.

not worth it, i changed to verizon, if you get cellphone service their usb modem works great,or just plug your smartphone into your computer.

Unfortunetely thats what I thought...I wish I did have cell phone service...But only if I climb the hill at the back of my property.

I looked into it.. but it was way to slow for my needs.

I try to avoid the internet while at camp.  But I can use my cell if I need to.

Yeah I competely understand that.

But I cant tell you how many times I wanted to look something up...Like looking at google maps, or looking up a certain kind of tree, to doing a repair I know nothing about.

Ah, what the heck did I do before the internet...Thats what I want to know.. :
